By  |

Tesla has been talking about their $35K Tesla Model 3 for years now and while they have been building and selling Tesla Model 3 models since last year, the $35k model was never part of their lineup. Just when we thought that Tesla would shelf it, the automaker announces it.

Tesla announces this week that the Model 3 will now be available for order. Called the Standard Range model, the vehicle will be offering about 220miles of driving range and will need about 5.6 seconds to go from 0-60mph and has a top speed of 130mph.

Those looking for slightly more range can opt to pay an additional $2000 for the Plus model to get the range up to 240miles. This model will reach 60mph from a standstill in 5.3 seconds and will have a top speed of 140mph.

Besides announcing the $35k model, Tesla also announce that the Lang Range Rear-Wheel driver Model 3 model will now get a range upgrade giving it 325miles while the Perforamnce model will have a new top speed of 162mph.
