Toyota Still Not Done With Takata Recalls

It looks like Toyota still has to deal with the issues that Takata and their airbags have caused as the automaker has just announced that they will be recalling 1.7 million more vehicles worldwide because of the faulty airbags.

The latest recall would affect the vehicles from 2010 to 2015 with 1.3 million of those affected being from the US. The faulty Takata airbags is believe to be the cause of 23 death worldwide with 15 happening in the US. There were also 290 reports of the airbags causing injuires after the airbag exploded and sprayed metal shrapnel inside cars and trucks.

The issue has caused the company, Takata to file for bankruptcy protection in June 2017.

Toyota is not the only one that is still dealing with this issue as Ford has also issued a recall for 953K units of their vehicles over the airbag issues.
