Toyota Ultra-Compact BEV: A Small Start For Toyota

We are expecting to see more EV vehicles getting released into the market in various sizes including a tiny one from Toyota.

Toyota has just announced their new Ultra-Compact BEV city car which will be making its official debut at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. According to Toyota, the vehicle will be able to help out the aging population in Japan as it can travel regular short-distance trips which is what the elderly, visiting business people and new drivers probably need.

The city car will have 62miles of range to offer and will have a top speed of 37mph which is not too bad. As exciting as it is, the vehicle will not be making its way to the US.

The rest of the details were kept a secret but we do know that it does not have a fast charging feature and will take five hours to charge up to 100%. The Ultra-Compact BEV is expected to arrive in the Winter next year.
