Volkswagen Golf GTI: Rabbit Returns To Clear Inventory

By  |

2019 is expected to be the year where Volkswagen pulls the sheets off a new-generation Golf and this is something which fans of the sports hatchback can’t wait for. Well, this now looks more certain than ever after Volkswagen announced on a major update with the Golf GTI.

The carmaker revealed that they are reviving the iconic Rabbit nameplate for the 2019 Golf GTI as a treat to Golf loyalists. However, the Golf GTI Rabbit will have a restricted volume that is capped at 3,000 units.

Judging by the sound of it, it seems like Volkswagen is trying hard to clear-out the leftover GTI on their production ground hence the revival of the Rabbit nameplate to clear the vehicle. The limited productivity will also help give them a reason to make more money while at it.

We are convinced that this is what Volkswagen is doing right now and it is because of what the Golf GTI Rabbit has to offer. Reading the details on the car will tell you that the vehicle is not more special than the basic Golf GTI. It’s the exact same car but with Rabbit stickers everywhere.
