Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet Production Begins

A lot of people are still skeptical about the choice that Volkswagen made regarding the Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet as it does not feel like there is actually that much demand for the vehicle but at the end of the day, we will have to wait until the vehicle arrives to see if Volkswagen made the right move here.

The production for the Volkswagen T-Roc has started this week at their Osnabruck plant. So far, the company has already invested millions to upgrade the facility so that it is able to produce the topless model.

The Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet will come with an electric roof that opens up in 9 seconds at speeds of 19miles per hour. Because of the roof, the backspace will be a little less now while the trunk space will be shrunk down to 10 cubic feet.

Powering it will be a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that will be offering 114hp and 147lb ft of torque. There is also the 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that will be offering 148hp and 184lb ft of torque and will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch.

Do you think the T-Roc Cabriolet will work?
