Will Ford Mustang GT500 Turbocharge The Coyote?

If you have been following news about the next-gen Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, then you are probably in relief as all the signs are claiming that the car will be sticking to a V8 engine.

Just a week ago, a leak dealer documents strengthened V8 expectations further when it quoted that the next-gen GT500 will have a new version of the Coyote V8 engine. However, the engine codes listed on the document brought up the possibility of a new kind of V8 offering.

There is no way to tell what those mystery codes mean but rumours are suggesting it to be the use of twin-turbochargers with the Coyote V8 engine. Such a setup will allow the Mustang GT500 to develop more than 700hp and this is something we are certainly excited to see.

But then again, the above is based on rumours hence you should take it with a grain of salt. All will be confirmed when the GT500 make its debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month.
