Will Next Nissan Z Revive Old Mitsubishi Concept?

By  |

As much as we hate the SUV direction which Mitsubishi is taking since joining the Renault-Nissan alliance, we can never forget the gems from Mitsubishi of old and among them is the Concept-RA.

The prototype from Mitsubishi was launched back in 2008 at the New York Auto Show and it gained a lot of attention from the public. This is especially since the Concept-RA features a body-style that screams Audi TT-killer from every angle.

Well, the Concept-RA never managed to materialize into a production car but that doesn’t mean it is dead entirely. A new rumour on the internet surfaced online earlier today and it boldly claim that Nissan will be reviving the Concept-RA as the inspiration to develop the next-gen Z-car.

The successor to the 370Z can enjoy a different approach if based on the Concept-RA and it can give the Z-line a new meaning instead of playing second-fiddle to the flagship Nissan GT-R.

It’s certainly a plausible outcome but we would still recommend you to take the above with loads of salt. This is to avoid disappointment should the rumour be wrong.
