Did Sea Of Thieves Force Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Into BC Program?

By  |

Sea of Thieves is described by many as No Man’s Sky part two. This is due to the game severely lacking content – much like how it was with No Man’s Sky during launch day.

Early adopters of Sea of Thieves can’t be more annoyed about it and this is especially when they have paid the price of a AAA video game for a title that isn’t even worthy of being called AAA at its current state. To wrap it all up, Sea of Thieves is a failed exclusive on the Xbox One and this could be the reason why Microsoft has moved worlds to make Assassin’s Creed Black Flag backwards compatible.

Microsoft announced earlier this month that the Xbox 360’s copy of Black Flag is officially playable on the Xbox One via the backwards compatibility program. This is a great move from Microsoft except that there is already an Xbox One version of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag.

But with backwards compatibility, more players that have owned the pirate-themed Assassin’s Creed video game can now enjoy playing the title on the Xbox One at no additional cost.

The hidden message here could be that Microsoft is trying to feed the pirate-desire onto Sea of Thieves players and this will act as a cushion for the failed video game.
