While Sony has been pretty secretive about what the next console will be offering, there is no denying that they are already working on one and it looks like when it finally does arrive, one of the game that players will get to play on it will be the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

During E3 2019, it was announced that the game will not have the full story when it arrives. The first release will focus on the Midgar portion of the game.

According to Square Enix, their goal is to make the game support the current console as well as the next-gen consoles and that the game is being developed so that it is playable on both but added that it will be played via backward compatibility which is a feature that we can expect the next PlayStation and Xbox One to have.

The game will be arriving on the 3rd of March 2020 and will span two Blu-Ray discs when it arrives. Die-hard fans might also want to check out the Collector’s Edition which will cost $330.
