Fortnite & PUBG Sweats Over Potential Losses

Survival battle royale video games have turned into a huge trend in the gaming scene and this is owed to two huge titles. They are Fortnite Battle Royale and PUBG.

The two games boast a massive population of players but it appears that this isn’t enough to offer any assurance to the developers. It was reported earlier today that Epic Games is worried Fortnite will lose a chunk of its players in fall this year. The same statement was made last month by PUBG’s marketing officer.

So why fall? The answer is with the new FPS games from established brands that are coming out in that period. Battle royale has been fun but they don’t have the recognition like Battlefield and Call of Duty. What’s even more worrying is that the aforementioned franchises will be offering battle royale in their upcoming sequels.

If Fortnite Battle Royale and PUBG are able to retain its players throughout fall, we can then say that the two games are now in the same league with Battlefield and Call of Duty.
