After teasing about it a couple of times, Niantic finally added some Gen 5 Pokemon into the game and while it is not all of it, there is a fair amount of new Pokemon added. Here are some of the Gen 5 Pokemon that you will be seeing on the map from now on.
Of course, the three starters will be there. There is Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. Then Patrat, Lillipup, Purrloin, Pidove, Blitzle, and Foongus. Some other Gen 5 Pokemon will hatch from Eggs while Pokemon like Klink will also appear in Raids battles.
There will also be a few region exclusive Pokemon like Durant and Heatmor which will only appear in the Eastern and Western hemispheres while Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour will each have their own region. Pansage will only appear in the Asia-Pacific region, Pansear will be seen in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Panpour will be appearing in the Americas and Greenland.
We are sure more Gen 5 Pokemon will be added into the game soon.
