The Outer Worlds Will Stay With Xbox

The upcoming The Outer World game will be released on all the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Switch but the next game that follows will favor the Microsoft Xbox only.

According to Matt Booty, Head of Xbox Studios, The Outer Worlds could be a long-running franchise for the company. The game fell into Microsoft’s hand when they acquire Obsidian and is now being published by Private Division.

It was reported that Microsoft feels like The OUter World franchise could really benefit from getting supported by the resources that Microsoft can out into it and that means they might choose to keep it as an Xbox only game in the future. If that is the case, the sequel to the game could only be released on the Xbox console.

It might still be a little too early to start speculating on what the game future will be like but for now, we know that the game will be released on the 25th of October on the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One while the Switch version will be arriving at a later date.
