HTC U12 Plus Has Found Success In Screwing Up

By  |

What is there not to like about the HTC U12 Plus? Everything about the phone sounds like a decent step forward from the U11 but it appears that this is not enough to save the device from a sales disaster.

It was reported last month that the U12 Plus has recorded a 2-year-low in its first-month on sale. This is something which HTC should panic about as the company is not in a healthy financial position.

But then again, HTC deserves a downfall as they are the real culprit for the U12 Plus failure. We have decided to point our finger at them after learning that the U12 Plus is more expansive than the U11 and it does not come with a USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack dongle.

The dongle cost a mere $12 and it was available inside the box of the U11. It left us dazzled as to why HTC thought it was a good idea to cheap-out on the feature.

For a company in a poor position, they should have done all they can to attract buyers. Instead, HTC chose to shoot themselves in the foot and they very well deserve it.
