HTC U12 Plus Should Blame HTC For Disastrous Sales

The HTC U12 Plus is a great flagship smartphone but this is only if you don’t mind the tediousness of getting the phone. We say tedious because the U12 Plus does not feature the major things which we all want in our flagship device and among them is a 3.5mm audio jack.

The U12 Plus, much like its predecessor, is rooted in its stance against offering the traditional 3.5mm audio jack. This is something that a section of the market can already adapt to as most flagships today are no longer offered with the feature.

But then again, things are worst-off with the U12 Plus and this is due to the absence of a 3.5mm-to-USB Type-C dongle inside the box. The U11 came with such a feature to cater to those that still wants to use a headphone jack but not on the U12 Plus. This basically means that getting the latter will come with the inconvenience of purchasing a dongle for the device.

This pretty much sums up why the U12 Plus is the worst selling HTC flagship in over two years. HTC has simply found a way to shoot themselves in the foot and their recent attempt at improving the situation by offering Android Pie early is not likely to save the U12 Plus from impending doom.
