Microsoft Surface Pro 5: Ready For iPad Pro Upset

2017 is going to be a really exciting year for the tablet market as tech manufacturers are lining up a number of great devices to push the industry forward.

Later this month, Apple is expected to pull the curtains off the iPad Pro 2 and they have already promised that the future tablet will be a big upgrade from the first generation iPad Pro. Microsoft, on the other hand, is going to launch the next-gen Surface Pro 5 which will replace the Surface Pro 4.

Today, we received more information from an industry insider on the Surface Pro 5 and learned that the device will be powered by Kaby Lake Core i7 with next-gen graphical systems and bigger RAM space. With such a setup, the Surface Pro will be able to operate on 4K resolution.

If that’s not exciting enough, the Surface Pro 5 will rely on USB Type-C as the new standard and the icing on the cake will be a robust battery. With such a setup, we don’t see any way for the iPad Pro 2 to pose a threat to the Surface Pro 5 at all.
