Microsoft Xbox Live Trash Talk 101

There is no denying that online gaming can get pretty toxic and some people seem to enjoy putting down other playing to strong words and foul languages and companies can only do so much to control that.

Well, Microsoft is hoping that their players could learn how to trash talk is a more considerate way by updating a set of guidelines that draw out how to properly trash talk on their Community Standards page.

According to Microsoft, some of the easier ways that players can avoid getting ban or suspended will be to not be a jerk. That not only includes not spamming or trolling in the game but also refrain from using certain phrases or words.

Of course, some trash talk is still encouraged but players are advised to use better words of phrases like potato aim for those that can’t seem to hit the right target or “get wrecked”. Personal attacks, slurs or sexual threats will not be tolerated.
