Razer Phone 3 Not Happening?

By  |

While we won’t call the Razer smartphone a huge success, they actually did a lot better then we thought they would but it looks like it might be the end of the road for Razer and their smartphone journey soon.

According to Droid-Life, Razer has laid off most of their mobile device and hardware engineer staff along with some from marketing. It is said that some staff will remain so that they can continue to work on the Razer Phone 2 updates but the successor to the smartphone has been canceled.

Since the news came out, Razer has released a statement saying that they have made some changes to their organization and that they will centralize their resources to focus on “key projects” They also added that they have shut down some project and has laid off about 30 employees.

They did not confirm if one of the projects that were canceled was the Razer Phone 3 but most people assumed that it is.
