Samsung Galaxy A9: Quad-Lens Lacking In Refinements

By  |

Samsung shook the world when they announced on the 2018 Galaxy A9 as the phone features a revolutionary setup instead of being an ordinary upgrade from its predecessor.

The most notable feature on the new Galaxy A9 is the use of 4 lenses on the back of the phone. The lenses consist of a 24 MP f/1.7 (primary), 5 MP f/2.2 (depth), 8 MP f/2.4 (ultra-wide) and 10 MP f/2.4 (zoom).

With such a setup, you can expect to see some next-level photography quality with the A9 but this is not true at all. A hands-on video testing out the A9’s camera has surfaced online and it shows some crisp photos being taken with the device.

However, the result of the images taken has left a lot to be desired as the lenses are not aided by a good photo producing software. The lacking refinements have made the end products feeling a little off and this is more so after checking out the Mate 20 Pro from Huawei.

The Galaxy A9 is still a great mobile photography machine though and the quad-lens setup is probably meant to act as a preview for the Galaxy S10.
