Samsung Galaxy S8 Restores Faith In Qualcomm Snapdragon

After several years of being stagnant, Qualcomm has finally produced a delightful mobile chipset thus showing that all is not lost in the Android world. The Snapdragon 800-series showed little growth in recent years but the latest 835 was able to take a big leap in performance.

This was proven today when a performance and battery life comparison on the Galaxy S8 saw the Snapdragon 835 outdoing Samsung’s very own chipset – the Exynos 8895. The Exynos series was able to give the Snapdragon chips a run for its money in recent years but the latest Snapdragon 835 managed to change that.

The video below highlights on the power of the Snapdragon 835 and while it may appear slower on some occasion, you should note that the Qualcomm chipset is embedded on the larger S8+. This means that it requires more power to run the apps which makes it a hair slower than the Exynos-powered S8 in those occasions.
