Vivo Nex Has Made OnePlus 6T Looking Foolish

By  |

Early previews of the OnePlus 6T has confirmed that the smartphone won’t have a 3.5mm audio jack and this has sparked a huge uproar from the fans. It is a protest that cannot be avoided because OnePlus hasn’t got a good excuse for the removal of the traditional feature.

At first, the CEO tried to cool things off by claiming the audio jack removal as something that is necessary for them to move forward. The chief explained that axing the traditional feature can free up space in the body for better things like larger batteries and such.

The fans shot down this excuse by using the Note 9 as an example. The latest phone from Samsung features a massive battery and its body can still house the S-Pen and an audio jack.

Now, the CEO has returned to offer further explanation for their unpopular decision. The lad said that the axing of the audio jack has allowed them to implement an on-screen fingerprint scanner on the OnePlus 6T.

We personally don’t know what the CEO was thinking when making that statement because the Vivo Nex has shown to the world that an audio jack and on-screen fingerprint scanner can co-exist. The worst part about all of this is that OnePlus is under the same group of companies with Vivo.

The CEO shouldn’t have added salt in the wounds of fans by making such statements. Instead, they should’ve come clean by saying that they need to build revenue by selling wireless headphones like what Apple is doing.
