Kia was at the LA Auto Show where they showed off the 2021 Kia Seltos which will come in to sit below the Sportage but on top of the Soul. However, the vehicle appears to be much closer to the Sportage in terms of size. Some would say too close.
The Kia Seltos will be powered by a 2.0-liter I-4 engine that will be mated to a CVT. The engine will be offering about 146hp and 132lb ft of torque. There is also a 1.6-liter turbo I-4 option that will be offering about 175hp and 195lb ft of torque.
In terms of measuring, the Seltos will have a length of 172inches, 103.5inch wheelbase, 70.0inch in Width and 63inch in Height. The Sportage, on the other hand, will be measured at 176.4inch in length, 105.1-inch Wheelbase, 73inch width and 64.inch height which is really not that much bigger than the Seltos.
While there is a slight difference on the outside, that difference will be even smaller on the inside with leaving many to question why they would actually offer an additional $2000 for the Sportage.
So you think Kia made a mistake here?
