IIHS has finally announced its safety rating for the 2019 Chevrolet Bolt and it ended up getting a better rating than the previous model.
Thanks to the updated headlights in the front, the 2019 Chevrolet Bolt was given the Top Safety Pick award by IIHS. For the first time, the Chevrolet Bolt was put through the passenger-side small overlap crash test and it managed to score an Acceptable rating while the other crash test was given a Good rating.
The headlight was updated as the previous version was said to ve too glaring. The new version’s headlight aiming was updated to reduce the glare.
Other than scoring well in the crash test, the vehicle was also given high marks for its front crash prevention system. The new safety rating score and the extra range that the 2020 model will have to offer will make the Chevrolet Bolt one hard to resist model.
