Mercedes EQC EVs Recalled Over Defective Bolt Issue

Daimler will be recalling a few of their models after it was discovered that there was some issue with the bolt in the differential.

According to the report, the Mercedes-Benz EQC EV models have bolts in the front axle differential transmission that might not meet durability specifications and because of that, the bolt could break over time and interrupt the torque transmission int he front axle causing the vehicle to stall.

There is also a possibility that the bolt breaks and gets lodged into the differential transmission which could then affect the ability to control the vehicle and putting the driver and passenger is more risk.

According to the reports, the recall would affect about 1700 units of the vehicle but Mercedes has yet to confirm the total numbers of units affected yet.
