Tesla Model 3 IIHS Safety Rating Revealed

The 2019 Tesla Model 3 was taken in by IIHS for its standard round of safety testing and it was later revealed that the EV managed to score the top safety rating from IIHS, the Top Safety Pick+ rating.

The Tesla Model 3 managed to score a Superior rating for the standard automatic emergency braking system which was able to avoid a collision at 12mph and 25mph. The headlights was also given a Good rating which was something some of hte other EV models were struggling to get. The Bolt was given a Poor headlight rating.

The Model 3 also scored a Goof rating in the six crashworthiness tech. According to Tesla, one of the reasons why they manage to get such an impressive safety score was because of the low center of gravity that the vehicle has.

Tesla Model 3 was also given a five star rating by NHTSA.
