Volvo Getting Serious About Electric Future

It looks like electric is here to stay as we see more and more automakers shift their focus to EV models but for Volvo, it is not just going to be part of their future offering but something that the automaker is looking to only offer.

According to Autocar, Volvo is looking to become an all-electric car brand in the future. Volvo has just taken the covers off their Volvo XC40 Recharge model and has added that the time they go all-electric will have to depend on the demand of the market.

For now, they are hoping that they would be able to go fully electric by 2040 but for now, their goal would be to have half their sales be from electric vehicles by 2025. We should also be seeing more all-electric models coming from them along with new plug-in hybrid models.

Of course, they are not the only automaker working on that goal as electric vehicles gets more attention from the public.
